Death, doom, gloom and a whole load of stomping metal riffs! Richard Shaw came into extreme metal band Cradle of Filth and reinvigorated their music, going on to contribute towards some of the best contemporary death metal records around. He's heavily inspired by the likes of Queen, Metallica and even R&B musicians.
You might have thought the Captain was out of place here, but no! Richard is a great guy with lots of interesting stories and even went to the shop's nearby music school. The pair talk about inspirations, PRS guitars and touring.

Mark is known to bring slamming, sliding, melodic sections to the American five-piece's progressive style. He's also big into his death metal and those blast beats, combined with thunderous riffing work their way into the music as well.

Jeff Schroeder has been the guitarist for alternative rock band The Smashing Pumpkins for more than a decade now - becoming a mainstay of their touring line-up since he joined in 2007. Before that, he was an integral member of The Lassie Foundation. They were regarded as a trailblazing act who developed their own unique 'shoegaze' guitar sound.
During the interview, The Captain talks with Jeff about sharing festivals with Dream Theater and The Cure, as well as his guitar inspirations. There's even a hands-on discussion/demonstration about pedals, where the guy's show you just how to nail some of Jeff's favourite tones!

Mick Thompson is one half of Slipknot's legendary crushing metal guitar section and has been with the band since the very early days of the nine-piece's existence. He's known as an extremely tight player, with an absolutely rapid picking hand and panchant for a filthy riff.
The Captain met Mick while on tour with Slipknot backstage at the o2 Arena in London. They sat down to talk record collections, inspirations and thoughts behind his signature Jackson Pro series along with a new amplifier from Omega Amp-Works.

Allen Hinds is an American blues/jazz guitar virtuoso. As one of the session scene's biggest starts, Hinds has multiple performing/recording credits to his name and has worked with the likes of Natalie Cole, The Crusaders, Hiroshima and Bobby Caldwell - with his slick fusion style always shining through. The Alabama-born musician has also launched a successful solo career, with his songs featured on TV shows like JAG, Pawn Stars and Sliced.
A graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Hinds is currently an instructor at the legendary Musician’s Institute in Los Angeles and an endorsee of Xotic Guitars. Listen to his incredible stories with the Captain!
